School’s Mission

Wildwood School is a K-12, co-educational, college preparatory day school. As a nationally-acclaimed independent school founded on a progressive, research-based approach, Wildwood emphasizes academic excellence and instills a genuine passion for learning. Armed with knowledge, creativity, curiosity, and passion, Wildwood students graduate with the power to make a difference in the world.

Our elementary campus is located in the Mar Vista area and houses 300 students. Curriculum encompasses core academic subjects and emphasizes hands-on learning where children learn to think critically and creatively. Wildwood uses a multi-age approach for its youngest students, grouping kindergarteners and 1st graders in classrooms known as “Pods.” Pods support children’s cognitive and social and emotional development by giving them the opportunity to have diverse roles within a safe, nurturing environment. At every stage, experiences outside of the classroom—including field trips and community involvement—enrich the curriculum and give children the opportunity to learn in real-world settings.

School Tours

Optional campus tours are held throughout the year on select Wednesday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. for parents and applicants. A campus tour is a great introduction to Wildwood and an opportunity to see classes in action. Contact Tisa Habas at thabas@wildwood.org for additional information.
